As 2008 begins, the War for HD continues to rage on. For those with HD televisions we’ve already begun our venture into getting our hands on as much HD content as we can, be it buying ATSC antennas for over the air free HD stations or purchasing HD channels from the cable and satellite companies. Movies however are where our hearts are, it’s the reason we bought HD televisions. Bigger screens, better resolution, more detail. We want our movie experience to be just as good as it would be in the theater, but alas, regular DVD quality is a measly 480i while our TVs do 1080p. We want more, we deserve more, and more is out there you just have to know what to look for.

When I first heard Final Fantasy 4 was being remade for the ds, my expectations were low. As it is my favorite of the series, and one of my all time favorite rpgs, I expected to be more disappointed with the changes than anything. Playing through final fantasy 3 for the ds all but confirmed my fears. The feminine, childish characters seemed more likely to decorate your room than kill dangerous monsters. When I finally got my hands on FF4, though, I was quite surprised. The new version has amazing graphics, great cut scenes, enhanced skills, and improved difficulty that make for a great experience. And despite what I expected, the only character remade to look overwhelmingly girly was Edward (who was gay to begin with)

Now that the new year has officially started, it’s time to take a look back at 2007 to see what the radios have been playing. Flamingbaby is going to give its list of their top 10 songs of 2007. While Rollingstone and Billboard have created their own list of what they think is the best songs of 2007, we at Flamingbaby don't find the crap that they list as real music, so without further ado here is our list.

You might not have heard (if you've been living under a damn rock), that Microsoft and Nintendo were coming together to bring Goldeneye (from the N64) to Xbox 360 Live!  This news caused much splooge to be spilled by the legions of geeks nerdgasming all over their computers. 

I have been going on and on for the past few days, boring the hell out of my friends with my new found DS excitement after getting my R4.  In an attempt to slow my roll, I have decided to post my entire review here and include some links that I seem to find myself sending to people over and over.  

Taking place right where the first movie left off, a Predator battles his way through Aliens and humans for the thrill of the hunt.  But, there is a twist.  What can be more fierce than an Alien or a Predator?  Why, a Predalien, of course.  I found this movie to be very entertaining, and if you were disappointed in the first AVP, this sequel may deliver the experience you were looking for.  I give this movie a B+...very good.  And, the review is spoiler free...for the most part.

Movies can differ from the books in which they are based and still be very good.  I Am Legend went a bit too far.  My review will break down the plot of the movie and point out the differences between it and the book.  Obviously, this article CONTAINS SPOILERS!  So, if you plan to watch the movie, you should wait to read the review until after.  On a scale of A-F, I give this movie a D+...kinda' crappy.
