The Dark KnightSo, what do you get when you mix Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Morgan Freeman, and Gotham City?

Here's a guess, a 155 million dollar blockbuster. Still no idea? What are you living under a rock or something? You get one of the greatest movies in existence, known as The Dark Knight. Saturday afternoon myself and Bauhaus attended a showing of the much hyped and eagerly anticipated movie. How great could it really be? Read on, if you're not convinced to see it then go back to watching your VHS copies of The Piano, and Little Women because you my friend have no hope.

Wilhelm Scream Have you ever watched a movie and recognized a sound from another movie? How about a particular sound of someone screaming? I have been hearing the same scream sound used in every Star Wars and Indiana Jones movie and it drives me insane.

Matt Damon on the Set of The Informant

E-mail Print PDF

Matt Damon Yep, so Matt Damon was here shooting a few scenes for his new movie The Informant. All I could really think of most of the time he was here was the famous "I'm fucking Matt Damon" song. I couldn't help but whistle it as I walked along the upper walkway right above where they were shooting the film. What was really funny was the fact that this is suppoed to be a winter scene so the props guys were out there with a snow machine trying to make snow, what they got were melted compact puddles of ice around the dead tree props. I dunno, maybe it's supposed to look that way, needless to say the blooming flowers and bright green trees in the background might give away the actual time of year.

Delving into Iron Man: A possible peek at Iron Man 2 and other Marvel Movies

E-mail Print PDF

Image Iron Man the movie is the first film from the newly formed in house Marvel Enterprises movie studio (the rest of the Marvel films like, Spider Man, Daredevil, etc. have been under Columbia Pictures) and what a debut it is. The film blew me away, completely passing my expectations (which were pretty high) and was such a success fiscally speaking that Marvel has announced four more films: Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America – The First Avenger, and The Avengers. After hearing this and speaking with some friends I realized that not everyone who saw the movie will understand all the nuances and hints that are in it, so here is the guide to some of the stuff a non comic book person would have missed.

Diary of the Dead Review

E-mail Print PDF

Diary of the Dead Poster Zombies.  I really do not know why they entice me as much as they do.  Perhaps, it’s due to the fact that zombies are rather unintelligent yet persistent adversaries.  Obviously, we humans see ourselves as the superior race and even if we find ourselves weaker than those that come after us, we figure that we will always be more intelligent.  So, perhaps my fascination with the undead stems from the need to feel superior.  We “smarter” beings should always be able to fight back against those less intelligent as long as we work smart and we work together.  Or maybe, I’m over-thinking it all together.  It could just be that I like zombies because zombie movies are full of titties, explosions and gore.  My latest excursion into a zombie-infested world comes from the new George A. Romero film, Diary of the Dead.

Top Audio Podcasts

E-mail Print PDF

Podcasts It has come to the point that I can no longer listen to regular radio for prolonged periods without wanting to drive my vehicle into a school short-bus of retards or take my computer keyboard and embed each and every key into a coworker's face.  Radio has taken a turn for the worst with pop-rap, emo-rock and farm-machine loving country music.  You could try to take a break from the mental retardation that is music and switch to a talk show.  Then, you are left with whiny bitch ass morning show hosts complaining about FCC regulations or their stupid fucking family that nobody cares about.  Hell, you could even try out a little adult talk radio and listen to the conservative based ass-fucks who wants the bastard child of Jesus and Ronald Reagan to become the next president and have all of our loved ones serving in wars that do nothing but blow our tax dollars an ungrateful fucks overseas.

Top 10 Starship Commanders

E-mail Print PDF

Image With the release of the new Star Trek movie coming next year, it got me thinking about who the best starship commanders actually are. We have come a long way from Kirk/Picard debate. Some of the commanders that must be considered aren't even in the Star Trek universe. I'm not going to attempt to rank these commanders using strict guidelines or categories. This is simply a list of the best starship commanders judging by their actions made on the shows I love to watch.
