FlamingBaby's newest author, Christopher, brings you his look into the recent release of Indiana Jones 4. Read more to find out why he found the movie to be "worth seeing", but not really spectacular.
I didn't know the Russians were interested in the paranormal?
I liked the theme, but wish they would have talked more about the legends surrounding the crystal skulls. Like most movies I have seen lately it seemed like the whole thing was rushed and that there could be so much more content than there was. I wonder if I'm just getting old, or if movies are just getting dumber. Probably a little of both. Also, Kate Blanchett is no Russian woman. She's a good actor in the right role, but she doesn't even look Russian. Every time she came on screen I was going "What were they thinking"?
It has the typical over the top action scenes and the obligatory knock down drag out fight between Indy and a guy much bigger than him. All in all it has all the elements of a normal Indiana Jones movie, but seemed lacking in the archeological interest/discovery aspect. Maybe I just feel that way because I know alot about the crystal skull subject.
So I guess all in all I give it a 7 out of 10, and thats considering that I really like Indiana Jones. Worth seeing, but don't get your hopes up too high. I don't know If the younger crowd would even consider it worth seeing, if they aren't fans of Indiana Jones.
