Edit: I also read an article in Sporting News Today written by Jeff D'Alessio interviewing Big Apple sports columnists about athletes playing in New York. Here is a quote from Lenn Robbins from the New York Post:The guy who comes to mind for me is Bud Harrelson, the (ex-Mets) manager. The guy once wouldn't come out of the dugout to make a change because he knew he was going to get booed. He was literally scared of his shadow. As for a player, (ex-Jets QB ) Richard Todd. He once stuffed 'Post' columnist Steve Serby in a locker. He had his wife do most of the chirping, which never helps. The Jets tried a campaign, 'In Todd We Trust.' Bust.The article also discussed other players like Randy Johnson, Alex Rodriguez, Bobby Bonilla, and Roger Clemens. I really remember Randy Johnson's issues with New York fans and media. A-Rod has his own soap opera going on in the Big Apple as well. I think Favre has his work cut out for him. He is really going to put the theory that 'Great QB's Make Great Receivers' to the test. I think the only deep threat the Jets have on the team at the moment is TE Dustin Keller.
