Secondly, I agree with the comment that there is WAY TOO MUCH slow motion going on. Why can't directors realize that too much of something awesome makes it not so awesome anymore?

300 was the same way with the slow motion, so it's to be expected. I think if you watched 300 at normal speed, the movie would be about 3 1/2 minutes long

I'm excited about the movie, but as I have already stated, I think the comic was pretty overrated. The ending was still amazing. This is an example where a movie could make some created changes, and I wouldn't be all that upset... probably.

I have to completely disagree about it being overrated. Watchmen was freaking awesome.
Slow motion doesn't really bother me, especially in a comic movie where there is a lot going on visually. I would much rather a director over do slow mo than speed up/shake everything to show me how exciting the thing going on is (if I could figure out what exactly is happening).
I'm also going to reserve judgment on whether there is "too much" slow motion going on. The trailer for the original Matrix makes it look like the whole movie is in "bullet time",
