The 24 classes of Warhammer Online. Each faction has 3 races, and each of these races has 4 classes. Every class follows one archetype or another, with each race having a class to fulfill each archetype. These archetypes include tank, melee dps, ranged dps, and support/healer hybrid. Dwarves
| | Ironbreaker (Tank) - Armed with an axe or hammer and shield, the Ironbreaker bears grudges against those who damage his party members. The more damage the enemy does to the Ironbreaker or his allies, the bigger the grudge. As the grudge increases, the Ironbreaker not only does more damage to the target, but also gains special abilities to be used against the target. |
| | Hammerer (Melee DPS)- Armed with a large hammer and medium armor, the Hammerer gains momentum as a fight progresses. The longer the fight lasts the stronger and faster the Hammerer becomes. The Hammerer can then use his momentum to deal stronger blows to his opponent. These powerful abilities will slow the Hammerer down, using up his momentum. The goal of a Hammerer is to keep his momentum going, and keep looking for new targets to fight. |
| | Engineer (Ranged DPS)- The Engineer is armed with guns, turrets, explosives, and any number of other gadgets. The Engineer is at his best when faced with multiple enemies, as his explosives provide a great method of area of effect damage which will quickly mow down enemies packed too closely together. |
| | Runepriest (Healer/Support)- A powerful support class which uses Runes to heal as well as buff his party. The Runepriest binds his rune to an object or creature to await an action which will trigger its power. Once triggered, the runes might do damage to an enemy, protect an ally, or even heal an ally. The Runepriest is best when given time to prepare and buff his teammates |
High Elves
| | Swordmaster (Tank) -Warrior-scholars of the high elf race. As per their name, Swordmasters are masters of the blade, and are capable of weaving these blades to form walls of protection for their allies. The Swordmaster uses his mastery of the blade to chain numerous attacks. A Swordmaster is also capable of calling upon the winds to empower his blade, giving him powerful, magic-enhanced attacks. |

| | Shadow Warrior (Ranged DPS) - The nomadic archers of the High Elves. The Shadow Warrior is a deadly scout, and specializes in ranged combat. The Shadow Warrior can also specialize in melee techniques, using his sword skills to compliment his bow. |
| | Archmage (Healer/Support) - Powerful wizards specializing in High Magic. The Archmage weaves his magic into destructive spells, conserving arcane energy with each spell cast. The Archmage must strive to achieve a balance between offensive and defensive powers to remain useful to his party |
Empire
![]() | Knight of the Blazing Sun (Tank) - As templars devoted to the cult of Myrmidia, Knights of the Blazing Sun are renknowned for their strategy as much as their skills in combat. The Knights of the Blazing Sun serve as commanders on the battlefield, shouting orders to their allies. Those who follow the commands of these knights will receive valuable bonuses. |
| | Witch Hunter (Melee DPS) - These Van Helsing lookalikes are very devoted enemies of Chaos, and all forms of devilry. Dispensing judgement on all supposed heretics, the Witch Hunters frighten their own as much as their enemies. Witch Hunters excell at positioning themselves behind enemies for deadly blows. |
| | Bright Wizard (Ranged DPS) - The Bright Wizard is a specialist in destruction by fire. Sporting minimal defenses, the Bright Wizard will fall in combat if he isn't too careful. Armed with damage over time attacks, and powerful area of effect abilities, the Bright Wizard's best defense is a good offense. |
| | Warrior Priest (Healer/Support) - A deadly melee combatant as well as a healer. The Warrior Priest gains Righteous Fury through combat, then uses this fury to bestow blessings on his ally. The Warrior Priest must be close to the fight at all times to be most effective. |
Greenskins
| | Black Orc (Tank) - The Black Orc specializes in knockdown abilities, and loves to hit you while you're down. With a fighting style often described as "brawling", the Black Orc will use whatever he has available to come out victorious. A Black Orc will use his fists, feet, shoulders, elbows, shield, or weapons to jar, disorient, or disable his enemy. |
| | Orc Choppa (Melee DPS) -Known for their frenzying abilities, Orc Choppas are formidable opponents. The more a Choppa fights, the more he lets himself get carried away in his berserking rage. As he becomes more and more frenzied, he will become bolder and gain access to much more devastating abilities |
| | Goblin Squig Herder (Ranged DPS) - It's all about the squigs as far as the Squig Herder is concerned. With experience, a Squig Herder can tame a wide variety of squigs, and gain the ability to take direct control of them. A Squig Herder is at his best when supporting his squigs from the rear with his arrows while safely out of harm's way |
| | Goblin Shaman (Healer/Support) - By calling down the wrath of the deities Gork and Mork, a Shaman is able to gain Waaagh! for use in battle. The more descruction a Shaman reigns down on the battlefield, the more Waaagh! he gains. The more Waaagh! the Shaman collects, the stronger his support magic becomes. A Shaman is at his best when balancing his offensive and defensive abilities. |

| | Witch Elf (Melee DPS) - Wedded to Khaine, the Lord of Murder, the Witch Elf is a deadly advessary. A With Elf builds up frenzy over time, which can then be used against her enemies in the form of deadly finishing moves. The With Elf uses a combination of poisons, positional attacks, and rapid attacks to take out her foes. |
| | Sorcerer/Sorceress (Ranged DPS) - The Sorceresses use sheer force of will to bend the winds to their will using a form of magic known as Dhar, or Dark Magic. This powerful magic does not come without a price however, as a carless Sorceress might find her magic turned against her. The more destructive power gathered by the Sorceress, the greater the risk of the power exploding on the Sorceress, greatly injuring her in the process. |
| | Desciple of Khaine (Healer/Support) - Desciples of Khaine are at their best when on the front lines. They are true masters of murder, harvesting the enemy's essence for use against them. Trained both in blades and the dark arts, the Desciple of Khaine uses his daggers to reap the very souls of his enemies, which he then in turn uses to bless his allies. |
Chaos
| | Chosen (Tank) - Warped by the blessings of the dark gods, these Champions of Tzeentch are truely fearsome warriors. Chosen are expected to be not only to excell in brute force and strength, but cunning tacticians as well. A Chosen's place is on the front lines, where they can use their dark gifts in the service of Tzeentch. They are also called upon to protect their weaker allies, not due to compassion, but in service of their treacherous god. |
| | Marauder (Melee DPS) - These favored warriors of Tzeentch are among the most fanatical followers, and believe themselves to be the closest to the gods. Using this favor, a Marauder is able to use the energy of Chaos to bring about terrible physical change. A Maurader can mutate his skin to grant extra protection, add features, or even transform his limbs into terrible weapons of death. |
| | Magus (Ranged DPS) - Mounted upon a disc of Tzeentch, the Magus is a terror on the battlefield. The Magus channels his dark powers through his disc to wreak hell upon his enemies. The Magus can command this mount itself to unleash destruction, and must strive to achieve synergy between self and disc to maximize his potency |
| | Zealot (Healer/Support) - These spellcasters deal primarily in symbols. A Zealot can bless his allies with Marks, or curse his enemies with Harbringers. Using both his offensive and defensive symbols, a Zealot is able to most effectively magnify his power in support of his allies. |
